3,5 stars!
This book was not as bad as expected. Friends and reviewers have told me that they couldn´t enjoy it, but I really think it was okay.
Yes, I have to agree that it isn´t one of Josephine Angelinis best works.
Especially at the beginning I had the feeling that the book lost its central theme and that the author tried to built up a different story with a different problem. What I liked best about the other two books was this "desperate diseases require desperate remedies"-kind of conflict.
SpoilerI´m talking about the atom bombs and the whole possesing of somone elses mind- thing.
This part was totally missing on the first 100 pages.
Another problem was Lilys relation to Rowan. I´m sorry, but this didn´t work out for me in this book.
Nevertheless, I was satisfied with the ending and how everything wraped up. I am still a huge Angelini fan and will forever love her general idea of this series and the new view on witches she created.

The only bits I didn't like were the graphic details of the Hive and bees/stingers. I've had a few bad experiences with them so they made me feel icky but such a great ending to the series and no more Warrior Sisters who, if I was there, I wouldn't stand a chance against

This book was a very satisfying ending to this series. I think what I enjoyed most about this book was the world that Angelini built because truly, I haven’t read anything like it. It’s a weird mix of high fantasy and urban fantasy and once I got used to the blended genres, I felt myself believing this world she had written.

Also. I was upset with a lot of the conflict that the second book created because it was a second book in a trilogy and that’s the job of the second book and I could not be more satisfied with the resolution.

It wasn't a bad ending, it just came by too fast. Left me wanting more :(

Okay, so while Witch's Pyre wasn't as good as the first two, it was a very satisfying conclusion to an amazing series.

The first half was very slow, I didn't agree with the characters motivations, and the plot dragged. But eventually it picks up again and we have a stunning finale! Again I love the blurriness between good and evil, and while I would have liked it to end a slightly different way, it was still fitting.

This is a brilliant series and if you are a fan of YA fantasy, I would 100% recommend you give it a go!

Age: 13+
Warnings: nothing really. Sex is mentioned but not explicit, and there are some graphic scenes, again mentioned but not explicit.

I liked the ending, not the epilogue but just the final chapter. The rest of it was kind of a let down :(

This book took me sooooo long to finish but not because I didn't like it (obviously) but because school is brutal and I have been so tired. Anyways..this book has been a refuge and I just loved the characters and the plot and world a lot. Rowan and Lily have my whole heart and also I have high hopes for Toshi and his life going forward. The friendships were sweet and I liked how everyone held each other accountable because it was realistic. Good trilogy and the ending was almost perfect :)
