DNF pg 175

This is super well researched and academic which I appreciate, but it was just far too wordy for what I was looking for.

Unwell Women is very educational but it is a hard read. I learnt quite a lot but maybe would have liked more about modern day.

re-read this after being in pain and going to an male emergency doctor in 2024 and being told “i don’t know what’s wrong with you, maybe you’re just thinking about it too much”. still so much work to do in regard to how we respond to women’s symptoms.

Fantastic book about horrible things. Would be curious to know what the author would write about the overturning of roe v wade since this was published before then.. also would have appreciated a conversation on the war on drugs and how that affected access to medications, also very little mention of disability groups / activists, and would like to know more about Canada bc of its proximity to the US but vastly different healthcare system.
