Anne Bishop tells deep stories with heart and soul. She crafts worlds as magnificent as they are treacherous. Her characters tend to leave indelible marks on the minds and imaginations of her readers. A perennial favorite.

Satisfying conclusion to the Ephemera series. The newly introduced race of the Tyrads was fascinating and kept me thinking and pondering.

I thought the first two books in this series were better. This book seemed to rehash a lot of the background given in the first two with explanations of how different parts of the world were linked, how individuals moved from one landscape to another and how certain individuals had the power to manipulate these landscapes. Lee was not as strong or as sympathetic a character as the main characters in the first two books. The Tryad characters were the most interesting in this book. I found the relationships between Sholeh Zeela a Zhahar fascinating. One of the best parts of this book was the novella The Voice. If you do find yourself reading the paperback version of Bridge of Dreams that has the novella at the end read this first.

This was really sweet, if wacky. If you like Bishop, you'll probably enjoy this.

"good but..."

I'm not sure if it's because it's been so long since I read the last book or if they story is a bit different from the first two but I didn't quite enjoy this one as much. Not bad, but not quite as good. I think part of it is I didn't like Lee quite as much as Gloryanna or Sebastian in their books. That said, if she wants to write another one I'll more than likely read it or listen to it as the case may be

Holter Graham always does a great job.

Not as heart stopping as the first two but I still really enjoyed this book, like every other Anne Bishop novel. I hope she writes more books for the Ephemera series!

Actual rating of 3.5

I found this book a bit slow to start with. Until about a third of the way through the book I wasn't drawn in. Granted it's been a long time since I've read the other Ephemera books. I find myself comparing all of Anne Bishops books to The black jewels, which couldn't be matched in my eyes. Once I got into it, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the little novella at the end as well. Not her best but still enjoyable.

I struggled to stay focused and interested. There was a lot of telling, lectures form characters, little action. Well...I expected this story to be a sexy Paranormal Romance. It's totally not. I grew extremely frustrated with this series. I keep reading hoping as the series continues I will enjoy it but I overall didn't.
