I'm usually a huge fan of Kate Canterbary's books and I loved Magnolia in Ash's book but man, I could NOT stand her in this one. She was mean and surly and I would have DNFd this if I didn't love Rob so much. He really made this book enjoyable even when I wanted to smack Magnolia.
I think part of the problem may be that I'm not the target audience for this particular story. There were far too many references to smashing the patriarchy and one super weird, off-putting line about Satan than rubbed me the wrong way.
I feel like I need to re-read Ash's book now as a palate cleanser.

DNF at 37%. I don’t like love triangles and wasn’t loving all of Magnolia’s self doubt. Disappointed as I haven’t minded her appearance in other books

A fun read with witty banter and well developed characters with depth and insight.
The only thing I didn’t like was the excessive, unnecessary crude D talk. I’m no prude, but these convos contributed absolutely nothing to the story.
