I’ve tried several of Stephen Kings books but I find the same result each time, his writing comes off creepy. There are instances of unnecessary sexual details that don’t do anything for the story. Also, it can be extremely slow moving at times while he builds exposition. Overall, the story is somewhat gripping but riddled with short comings.

"Pokud jste fanoušky knihy Osvícení nebo Stephena Kinga obecně, nejspíš vás na knihu nijak zvlášť lákat nemusím a už dávno se vám vyhřívá na poličce. Jestli ale stále váháte, zda se do ní pustit, věřte, že rozhodně stojí za to. Čtení jakékoli Kingovky je zážitek a Doktora Spánka osobně řadím mezi svá nejoblíbenější díla od tohoto autora."
