Serial killer mysteries are always a favourite of mine. I enjoy a murder mystery where there is only one death, sure, but when dealing with serial killer, it's like the action is renewed every few chapters! That was how it felt with The A.B.C. Murders - just as I started getting bored, someone else died! (Wow that makes me sound like a complete psycho). I really liked the little "quirk" if you will of all the "ABC" ties to the killer, kind of like the signature ways infamous real serial killers have had. As always, Agatha Christie does an amazing job with Poirot, my favourite detective along with Sherlock Holmes of course (but miles away from Miss Marple who is a fake detective at best) and it made for a solid mystery novel worth all 4 stars, perhaps more.

Listened to the audiobook, and I'm honestly impressed how Hugh Fraser (the voice actor) got Poirot's accent sooo on point, and Hasting's voice as well. I still think of David Suchet every time I read another Poirot, and I can't help but visually see him in my head while listening! This was still humorous as ever, and I love the twisty reveal at the end (as always!).
(Edit: upon research, I learned that Hugh Fraser was the actual actor who played Hastings together with Suchet! Hahahah no wonder the narration was perfect!)

This was a very entertaining story. It had me hooked and I never guessed who did it or how. I just had to know! It was a little on the surface but it was still a great read.

Less fun than a normal Christie, for me. The idea of the serial killer really works at odds with what I find fun about a Christie.
