4.5 stars - I'm subtracting .5 star for the 'I should tell him ________ but I guess I'll wait' plot device. It's the worst plot device in the known universe! But it was a minor part of the story so I'll only subtract 1/2 star.

A sweet story of Kailyn and Daxton (an ex-teen TV heart throb). They met in law school and were rivals, but haven't seen each other in five years. The novel was pretty predictable (especially the end) but still enjoyable so I'll forgive the predictability.

Themes: law, custody, hate-to-love, 2nd chances, LA, teen star, orphans

Meet Cute by Helena Hunting was a pleasantly enjoyable read! I was surprised that this wasn't going to be featured by meet cutes in the story like other romance books I have read were, but I still enjoyed this plot line.

I'm beginning to like those post college friendships type of books because they seem to be developed well. I really liked Kailyn and Dax.

Meet Cute is not a 100 percent fluffy romance book despite what the cover leads you to believe. There's that saying that says don't judge a book by it's cover. It took me on an emotional rollercoaster but I think that rollercoaster made me attached to the characters.

It was a little predicable but most romance books are predictable. I spotted who the villian of the story was going to be before they were revealed but I'm not spoiling that here.

I definitely recommend giving Meet Cute a try, but you may need a box of tissues handy if you cry easily during books and movies. Meet Cute was a five star library ebook.

Don't let te cover fool you with its rom-com art, because it's not, It did had humorous moments but wasn't exactly rom-com material.
However, this has got to be one of the best romance books I've read this year. Then again, when I say romance it'd be understood that the main focus of the story is romance but it wasn't, it was much more than that.

Overal, 'Meet Cute' is a heartwarming, enjoyable, fast-paced and a sweet story about hope and second chances.

I gotta be honest, I started it and left it close to the middle. Buy oh am I happy I finished it.
It was light and fun. And there ARE sex scenes that surprised me a lit with... details.
I liked it. The plot was a bit too obvious and mostky cebtered on the main couple rather than the problem, but it was super cute.

3 Stars- The title and cover of this book are a bit deceiving. The title "Meet Cute" insinuates that this book is a fun, cute rom-com style book, but it really isn't. The story takes an emotional twist very early on (which isn't a bad thing), but the whole novel seemed to center around the emotional events and Daxton's little sister. The story was mainly about Daxton's and Kailyn's relationships with Emme; Daxton taking on a parental role for Emme, and Kailyn basically becoming the main female role model in Emme's life. The romance almost seemed like more of a side-plot, which is weird because this novel is advertised as if it is focused on a cute romance. Also, the plot was a bit predictable. For the second half of the book, I knew exactly what the big twist was going to be and I was getting a little bored waiting for it to be revealed. I do like Kailyn as a character because she's smart and strong, and I found her relationship with Emme to be heartwarming. This novel was okay but it needs a new name and the second half was trying to be suspenseful and dramatic, but it was a little boring.

tbh the writing is good and i enjoy the characters but the situation stresses me out so much that despite it being completely fictional, i don’t want to see it blow up and would rather never know what happens

I was really enjoying the story but the climax wasn’t all that. It was a little predictable.
