So much plot but wanted an epilogue at least to have more romantic moments between them. Felt slow on the way to Scotland and then rushed and characters not flushed out after getting to Scotland. It was Emma changing how she feel about Lachlan changed hard and instant which makes sense for their relationship but I feel like the only moments they had with each other was when they were cuddling. Lachlan never got rest I feel like he was always battered. I wish there was more bliss and peaceful moments of just them.

I might come back and eventually rate this, but I’m really torn because I never would’ve picked this up if not for book club. I would definitely rate it very low, but I also wouldn’t have ever picked it up in the first place.

This book is VERY much a product of its time and written with an “older” version of consent that doesn’t really actually mean consent. There is technically a plot, but only so the continuous smut scenes could be sold on bookstore shelves. The beginning scenes are VERY non consensual, and I don’t really feel like these are challenged enough.
Towards the end, the main character “forgives” the male main character for constantly assaulting her towards the end of the book because she understands his strong lust. WILD way to avoid SA allegations for the book.
Overall, not something I would suggest or even read myself if I had to choose again.

Not one of the best that I've read in the series but still enjoyable. Started out a little bit rapey but it slowly got better.

Meh. Not a terrible book, but not the best. Spicy parts were fine.

Ahh I'm so glad I was introduced to this series! I loved pretty much everything about it, except for wanting to reach in a shake some sense into Emma. She's very stubborn. It was a love/hate relationship. This book is definitely insanely HOT!! I wouldn't mind my own Lykae...just sayin :)

Although the heroine's initial passiveness annoyed me, her eventual transformation into a kick-ass female was so gradual that it was actually quite realistic. What WASN'T realistic is the night that she tried to run away, the hero came after her, they had sex, and then they were in love. She hated him before that. Not a good transition, but otherwise a good book.
