A murder mystery and podcast combo good for fans of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. I saw parts of it coming but was overall surprised by the end!

I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I picked it up on a whim but it surprised me in a good way. I will be picking more books by Kit Frick

Someday I'll learn how to adjust my expectations of literally every thriller to accommodate the reality that the most fun part for me is all the parts before the end! But that said the end of this book was v impressive. "How can you resolve all of this in a way that feels both possible and earned???" I demanded, and the book was like, "Here's how," and I was like, "Oh, damn, all right. It works." And it does but it still didn't feel as satisfying as the rest of the book. Which is how thrillers work!!! Which I can handle!!! Also tbh there's a character I still don't trust and think probably actually did the murder but I also feel like I'm probably not supposed to think that.

I was a bit confused at first… but as I kept reading I came across many small plot twists that made me go, “no way” and “I knew it!”

This is a great beginner book if you’re looking for a light mystery/crime book to read. It’s a great cosy mystery.

BUT… I’m still confused as to why Anna confessed to killing Zoe if she didn’t do it?

The ending was not that good for how much it was built up through the story.
