 Es una novela extraña. Es una sucesión de compromisos sociales en una pequeña comunidad suburbana de Massachusetts en los 50, con un personaje principal que resulta ser el villano y es más reconocible que cualquier otro personaje.

Me ha costado bastante acabar el libro porque realmente no pasan muchas cosas, y no hay ninguna tensión. Es más interesante haberlo leído que estar leyéndolo, la verdad.

1. Cerita yg terkesan repetitif. Melinda genit ke pria lain- berselingkuh- abis itu pria itu pergi-Melinda nyari cowok lagi- dan kembali ke pola awal😮‍💨 begitu terus. Bener bener ngebosenin polanya.

2. Cerita diisi penuh sama narasi gimana isi kepala Vic tp bnyak ga penting gitu. 

3. Ekspetasi awalku baca buku ini kan memang krn unsur thrillernya. Apalagi Patricia terkenal as great thriller author. Tapi yah dr awal ampe akhir ga ada tuh thrilling moment yg kurasakan😔

1. Author nya konsisten dalam pembuatan karakter. Tau apa? GA ADA SATUPUN TOKOH YG LOVEABLE DI SINI 😅
Krn pd dasarnya memang cerita ini ttg toxic relationship dua tokoh yg bener2 ngejengkelin banget dr awal-akhir

2. Blurbnya coyy.

Menarik hati bgt ga sih? Jujur i'm the person who judge the book by the blurb 🤣

Kesimpulannya: Aku kurang suka sama bukunya tapi mau kasih kesempatan buat karya lainnya dr author ini.

A story of a continuing yet immensely unhealthy marriage. I cannot fault the author, but the main character was so repugnant that I cannot recommend this book. I just don't want to look that closely into suburban misery.
