Really short. Like two to three pages each short. Even for an anthology that's really short.

Read this because I wanted to read "Stalking Aiden" and that was actually the one I liked the most it was super cute, but I would've liked a resolution that told me if they ended up together or not, it was really vague.

"Love Song" and "The Kiss" were okay but I felt cheated by how short it was, I'd just get into start liking the characters and then BAM! We're done.

Just to be clear, shortness was surprising but not necessarily bad. If you just want a quick read then this is great.

Two stars because the stories weren't bad but not amazing and it really wasn't long enough.

Melanie Marks' "Kissing" is a collection of three short stories that, if given proper expansion, would've made wonderfully written stories. Instead, they somewhat missed the mark in their brevity. In "The Kiss," a young woman becomes angry when her friend distances himself from her unexpectedly. In "The Love Song," a young songwriter finds inspiration when she realizes a confidant truly loves her. And finally, "Stalking Aiden" has a young woman whose devotion doesn't go unnoticed for the right reasons. I'm a little torn because I think each story had some believability but didn't quite get off the ground in terms of development and punch in each individual story. Still, I was able to enjoy it on some levels for what it offered.

Overall score: 2/5
