start was quite slow and miss ma’am mel alrdy gave me off vibes in the early chapters so i was not at all suprised that the plot went the way that it did. definitely still had some shock value in a few of the plot points that i can appreciate but nearing the end of the book everything fell a bit flat. didn’t rlly enjoy the police/detectives pov.. didn’t  think it was neccessary - felt like plot filler. none of the characters were very likeable, but i could sympathise w/ luke, those scenes were heartbreaking..  textbook gaslighting 😭 overall an okay listen!

Tahle kniha pro mě byla naprosto něčím jiným, než jsem podle anotace čekala. Nechci tvrdit, že je špatná, jen je dost mimo můj styl. Mám ráda tajemno, záhady a napětí, dobře vybudovanou atmosféru a příběh, avšak kniha pro mě byla spíš poměrně povrchním odhalováním zákoutí nepříliš spletité lidské mysli. I přes veškerou snahu autorky vyzněly postavy poněkud ploché a díky tomu celá kniha ztrácela na síle. Příběh je docela zajímavý tím, jak vybočuje z běžných konvencí, to mu ale bohužel nepomůže k tomu, aby byl něco víc, než jen průměrný.

Love you gone was completely mind blowing. Every single twist and turn had me completely baffled and I didn't see anything coming but yet bam there it was. This book was intense engrossing and fantastic.
Mel arrives at the holiday cabin expecting to find her husband and 2 kids but instead finds a note saying they went for a hike and would be right back. Hours later they still haven't shown up so Mel decides to call the police.
Any further information will surely ruin this incredibly thought out and intense story. This is a must read. You will be thrown into the story immediately with no chance to catch your breath before the next shocking reveal.

Oh. My. Goodness. This book blew me away! It’s bloody brilliant. Pulls the reader straight in then you’re trapped until the end (not a bad thing really). This book just had surprise after surprise add in the shocker here and there. You’re left thinking how many more secrets and lies are being hidden?

Love You Gone is one of those stories you want to devour in one sitting. It is gripping, thrilling, fast paced and well written. A must read! Brilliant. Sticks with you!

A well deserved five stars from me. Highly recommend. This book is also going to be in my top twenty of 2018. I absolutely loved it.
