Thank you to NetGalley for giving me an eARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this book so much so that I practically read it in one sitting. I am not usually one to say I enjoy contemporaries, most of the time I read them between fantasy books to give myself a break but this was a brilliantly executed novel.

I loved the depth in these characters, they felt like real people rather than just words on a screen. They had flaws to them and I feel like relationships were accurately portrayed in this novel. Not every relationship is cutesy all the time. There is grit to relationships and this showed that.

This was also an incredibly quick read, the pacing felt right and I liked how the plot progressed. This also had a fair few emotive moments in it as well as some laughs along the way to provide comic relief.

I would certainly recommend this book to others and am excited to read the other books Weinstein has written and will publish in the future.

Powerful story on loss, love and grief and the aftermath of what losing those closest to you does to your mind, body and soul.

When We Let Go is a wonderfully written novel about love, loss, grief, forgiveness and the relationships between women. The setting is beautiful and the characters are real. They are flawed and broken and they are dealing with real life experiences making it is to connect with them and become invested. Avery's journey through this story was incredible and emotional. The whole story is quite emotional but it still has an uplifting feel to it. It's an inspiring read that will stay with you long after the end.

Unfortunately kind of stereotypical Hallmark movie-esque romance.. it has an almost unbelievable amount of trauma, deeply toxic relationship traits and a plot twist that didn't make any narrative sense. It's probably more enjoyable if you don't think about it too much LOL
