Stories. Stories have a hero (PS, it's not you. It's your customer) who have a problem with an enemy (ugly clothes, a dirty room, boredom), who meets a guide (**YOU**) that guides them towards success and away from failure.
I am not buying your nailclippers or your life insurance, don't be so crass, I want your vision, I want your energy, I need your message, I crave your story.
Stop being so selfish, don't give me the plain old facts, sell me an experience!

This is such a useful book on how to tap into humanity's universal bond with storytelling to tell the story of whatever you have on the market, from their perspective. A very good reminder, too, that your story as the producer of that product is only of limited interest/relevance to customers - you're not the hero, they are. A marketing essential.
