I had read La sombra del Viento before this one and that is much better, more dynamic dialogs and smarter lines than this one. El juego del Angel was more of a disappointment. I abandoned it for more than a year. I only took it again because of the positive reviews the entire series has receive  on YouTube

I did not personally enjoy this, as much as the first book in the series. The ending was not satisfying to me, possibly because the author was setting up the third book.

I looked forward to reading this book after reading the first book in the series. I was a little disappointed on how Cemetery of Forgotten Books was referenced. This story is just as good as the first book in the series. I am looking forward to reading the third book.

I love these stories! Zafon develops the characters and plot so vividly it's hard to imagine that I'm not watching a movie. I find myself racing through the text, eager to learn what happens next - perhaps to the detriment about missing the minute beautiful details and symbolism that are there to add even more texture to the tale.
