I knew absolutely nothing about August: Osage County before reading it other than it is highly acclaimed and Tony-winning. I found it to be less than stellar. None of the characters are likable. I will say that it would take highly capable actors to pull off this show as some of them are all over the place emotionally. I doubt I'll ever read it again and probably won't ever see it.

I started this after having also just started Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI, and it was hard to stop considering the Whiteness of this family and of the legacy of Whiteness, colonization, and oppression in this area. Because of that, I don't think I enjoyed it as much as I might have. It's good, but it wasn't my cup of tea.
