This SPICY romance novel made me laugh and cry. A pro baseball player on the verge of divorce gets a crash course in how to revive his marriage through a secret men’s book club that reads romance novels.

This was totally adequate. The problems standing between the couple felt realistic and important, while not painting either party as 100% angel or villain, the plot required adult communication, the setting was fun but but but contemporary romance imo is the hardest genre to pull off and this was fine but not spectacular. I liked the conceit but nothing about the Gavin and Thea and their problems impacted me emotionally.

This book is everything I could want in a romance book! There are laughs, steamy scenes, and sweet romantic scenes. Words can’t even do this one justice and I’m so excited to read the sequel!

Oh my gosh! This is such a fantastic rom com!!! I giggled so much. Thank you, Lyssa Kay Adams, for bringing light and laughter into such personal topics.

Can you imagine losing the love of your life because of fear? Fear of your own “backstory”. That’s what happens in this book. Two amazing people almost lose everything because they are so afraid of their own pasts to move into a future filled with love.

Reading through this crazy ride of betrayals, bromance, fighting with everything you have, letting it all go again, and doing it again when needed was such a thrill. These guys have me cracking up. I will admit, I wanted to slap Liv at least 20 times, Mack as well. It was truly a fun read and so worth it.

Took over my entire day. Made me laugh every couple pages. Made me wish guys were this smart and proactive and took responsibility in relationships. Made me feel like owning up and making myself heard because some guys (the right ones) (the ones in this book) will listen. And maybe read and analyze romance books with me like they’re assignments we have to do and romance is our thesis topic. I can now safely say that I am back on board with the woke romance genre; this year has securely converted me.

This was such a good book! I’d honestly recommend this book almost as a relationship help book. It really shows what it means to actually work on a broken relationship. It did have quite a bit of back and forth with Thea’s character but Gavin’s dedication was sweet and admirable. I also loved the inclusion of Gavin’s stutter and that it was praised instead of looked down upon. I would definitely read this again!

This was probably the most realistic romance novel I’ve ever read. As someone with a husband with a very demanding job, a lot of the marriage conflicts really hit home. My only gripes were the blatant feminism. I don’t mind that in books but you don’t have to hit the audience over the head with it whenever someone says toxic masculinity die a little inside. I also HATED Liv. Idk if it’s because I’m a big sister who is also married to someone with a demanding job but I had a visceral reaction to her scenes. I can’t imagine being treated that way or having my sister treat my husband that way for something like Thea and Gavin’s problems. Like the way she acted towards him you’d think there was abuse in their relationship not a lack of orgasms.

This was an interesting chick lit romance book because it was primarily from the male point of view.
The Bromance Book Club involves a group of macho men reading romance novels to help them become better boyfriends/men/husbands. This is all well and good but I often thought "why doesn't he know how to be a decent human and treat his wife well without reading it in a book?!".

The characters were decent, although I didn't connect with them half as well as many similar books. I mainly liked Thea, the wife of the main guy as she was multi layered and had depth to her. The dynamics with the group of men in the book club were good but I thought could have been built upon a little more and maybe more scenes of them discussing romance would have added to their discoveries etc.

Overall, it was well written, had some decent smutty scenes and a good storyline. It is a good easy read and I hope the series continues looking at the other men in the group.

This ebook was gifted to me by netgalley in return for an honest review.
