Rule #1 Never underestimate Sara Cate’s ability to outdo herself.

Title: Highest Bidder
Author: Sara Cate
5/5 ⭐️

Another flawless masterpiece from Sara Cate. When I found out that Sara had plans to continue on with the Salacious Players Club Series, I was beyond excited. There are so many characters woven into each of the books, that I knew there were more of their stories to tell.
I’ve loved each and everyone of these books for different reasons, but Highest Bidder is truly unmatched. Sara’s ability to write a compelling story, laced with emotion, real life struggles on top of filling it with the most unbelievable spice, is what elevates her to a top 5 author in my opinion.
Highest Bidder follows the story of Ronan Kade and Daisy Bennett. Ronan is the the Salacious Player’s Club’s wealthiest member. At 56 he’s a silver fox Pleasure Dom Daddy that has the eye of many. Daisy is a 21 cocktail waitress with a hidden secret.
One night Daisy loses a bet and has to enter the auction at the Club. Ronan senses her discomfort and bids on her to keep her from having to fulfill her date with a stranger.
The relationship that builds between Ronan and Daisy, is sweet, sexy, vulnerable and filled with just the perfect amount of angst.

I loved everything about this book. The scenes in Paris, Daisy’s musical journey, Ronan’s support and encouragement of her. I loved Ronan’s POV and how he truly cherished every single part of Daisy. I laughed and cried throughout this entire book. I never wanted it to end. I cannot recommend this book enough. This will definitely be a reread for me.

(4.5⭐️??)

how was I hot and bothered one minute & crying the next?
this one touched on some heavy topics (check tw’s) but it still had ALL of that filthy spice that Sara Cate always delivers!

age gap
billionaire mmc
daddy kinks
dom/sub
talks of grief & death
ex’s daughter (which is why I think people will either hate this or love it)

I thought Mia and Garrett's book was my favorite of this series... Well move over to Eyes on Me because Highest Bidder has officially taken the spot of my favorite Salacious Players Club book. I adored this book from start to finish and had moments where I didn't even want to put it down to work.

I'm not a huge age gap reader, there's very few that I've really enjoyed, and I was hesitant going into this but I have to say that this is by far one of the best I've read. Add in the fact that the romance itself was as sweet as it was spicy and I was here for every single minute of it.

Not to mention that in this it's a reversal of the secret past trope where it's the FMC who has a huge secret she's keeping from the love interest. I don't usually enjoy that either but Sara Cate really said she'll take every single thing I think I don't like and make me love it.

I adored both Daisy and Ronan and their love.

I really loved the character cameos.

There's so much I think I could say but so much I don't want to spoil. Just know if you love a book with the above and a love interest who seems like he isn't but is actually a big softy who just wants to give her the whole world than this book is for you.

Did I mention the spice? It's also top tier, just saying.

3⭐️- Ronan is so sweet and didn’t deserve any of what happened to him during this book! Daisy is super manipulative & I didn’t like that she ended up pregnant after reassuring him that she was clean and on birth control and then forgetting to take it during that same trip??? Wish the author would have explored more of the pleasure dom aspect of the book instead of focusing so much on the daddy/baby girl aspect of the book (which was cringe during some moments).
