Historical fiction filled with facts about Benjamin Franklin’s life, diplomacy, inventions, and endeavors. What an interesting man!

I had to stop reading this book halfway through because I realized that none of the characters were likable. Having unlikeable characters can be a great way to add depth to a book but it was not used that way in this one. All of the characters were just stereotyped.

I was surprised by how quick a read this was. I enjoyed it until the last third and then I was just bored.

Very good piece of historical fiction rooted in deep fact and research. I seriously enjoyed this for both the history, the closeness of detail, and the general flow of the book. It's hard to put down!

3 stars for writing and story. 4 stars for teaching me facts about American history I never knew!
By the end of the book, my family was tired of my starting dinner converstation with, "Did you know....Benjamin Franklin...."

I enjoyed this book, but was looking for more in the ending.

Felt transported to the streets of colonial Philadelphia. Against the backdrop of momentous events & orbiting the larger than life Benjamin Franklin, Cabot creates a compelling story. One of the best endings I've read in awhile.
