Wow what a storyline. I was not expecting this one at all. I was not expecting what happened in this book at all. This was so well written and so unique of a storyline. I absolutely loved every single page turning moment. Had me hooked from the beginning to end. I was on the edge of my seat through most of the book. Wanted to throw my kindle at some points in the storyline. Xavier what a character. He has an evil side and a soft side but let me say the evil side holy cow. He is seeking revenge against an old friend. He finds the perfect person to do that with. Rocky is the perfect character. I absolutely love her. She is just trying to do what she can to survive and make it through college. Until she meets Xavier and things start to happen. Strange things start to happen. But at the same time she is falling for him. But little does she know that he is using her. I absolutely loved the twists and turns in this story. The suspense was off the charts amazing. The chemistry between these two was off the charts hot. This was a great book about two amazing characters. I absolutely love the bully storyline. Just an altogether amazing must read.

This was my first book by this talented author. It had references to characters that immediately had me looking to see if they had books. They did!!!

  • Description of characters were hard to understand and make out
  • Random points of view were thrown in there for what im not sure
  • The beginning started out strong but fell
  • Plot was there but it wasn't strong.
  • I also didn't like how kain female and male were. I understand he's an asshole and is suppose to be but the way he even treated his guy friends was awful and there was no meat to his character where I could over look these "flaws". The main female character I did like that she was a BA but then when it came to the point where she was suppose to be mad, there wasn't as big of a blow up and fall out as I would of thought.
  • I'm never one for Grammer errors etc but there was one chapter that said it was the female POV but it kept saying she. She. She. Like it was the males POV but it said the female so that was really confusing.
  • I think the concept was there and there were some good lines in that book but as a whole it still needed some work. Thoughts were still unclear on certain parts of the book.

Damn.

This book was...rough. Brutal. Viscious. Dark. Sexy AF.

I will admit I had to take a few breaks while reading to cool my jets and thoughts. Rocky was an angry, independent, pigheaded woman. Xavier was alpha, possessive, angry, and downright sexy.

Together, they were explosive in the best way. Their chemistry was amazing. I've rarely read a somewhat bully/dark/hate romance that literally followed that trope almost to the end.

The past with Rocky's brother and Xavier laughing their asses off because of her? Funniest thing I've read in a while, which is CRAZY considering how dark and stressful the book was.

And that epilogue? Sweet, perfect, and sexy.
