Sapete cosa faccio di sbagliato con i libri, io? Leggo la fine. Non proprio, li sfoglio per sapere come finiranno e sono rimasta ferma perché convinta di una menzogna che avevo letto fugacemente. Dovrei smetterla di farlo, rovinandomi il piacere della lettura, ma è un vizio. E quelli se ne vanno raramente.
Comunque all'inizio mi piaceva, i personaggi, la storia e tutto. Poi con il mio grande intelletto mi sono rovinata la lettura giudicando la fine banale, scontata e quant'altro. Errore da idiota perché non dovevo sottovalutare il professor D'Avenia.
Attraverso Leo ho ricevuto una lezione importantissima, una cosa in cui sia lui che io sbagliavamo. Adesso potrebbero esserci spoiler quindi se non volete capire il finale - ma lo capirete alle prime pagine - non leggete.
L'amore è rosso, passionale, è come i capelli di Beatrice. Almeno in principio, per i dilettanti. L'amore è chiaro, cristallino, ha tutte le sfumature del mondo. E' principalmente dolce e per me e Leo così simili è azzurro. Ed entrambi avevamo fatto l'errore di cercare il rosso!

Non mi è piaciuto molto questo libro. Ho trovato molto difficile leggerlo. La storia è bella, e scritta bene, ma per qualche motivo per me non ha funzionato.

I have never read or seen the movie for the Fault in our Stars. Therefore, I can not compare this book to it as some other readers have. Yet, I will tell you that this book didn't really deliver for me. The theme is "love makes everything possible". Thus the reason that Leo felt he could do anything including being Beatrice knight in shining armor.
Here is why this book didn't really work for me. I felt a bit uncomfortable to the point that Leo came off as kind of stalkerish. He kept obsessing about Beatrice. Yet, he didn't have for a good portion of the story a "real" connection with her. Well not face to face when she was aware of Leo. He visited her in the hospital while she was sleeping. Additionally, the way the book was written kind of like a poem, made it kind of hard to stay grounded in the story. Plus, it moved really fast. This book was a good effort but it missed the mark.

I started this book like 3 years ago. But I finished it today and came across some beautiful lines about love that I'm adding to my book journal! This book is full of teenage angst. And fun little nicknames for things. Silly obsessions with "perfect" girls. Normal boy stuff. ;)

Mi è molto piaciuto. Lo consiglierei a una fascia di lettori che va dall'adolescenza e, perché no, fino alla mezza età. Il linguaggio è semplice e scorrevole, la storia commovente e induce a riflettere sul bene prezioso che è la vita. 5 stelle meritate.
