Re-Read - I first read this series years ago and liked it enough to buy on my Kindle. I know I really liked it then, but I think my tastes have changed quite a bit since. It was good, but not enough substance to the characters. The female lead character came off as whiny and irritating this time around. And the instalove between the three was not believable. The story ended abruptly at the end of the first book making me wonder what the hell just happened. So yeah, not impressed with the second time around reading this.

Holy smoking sheets!! This is one sexy, smoking read!! I loved this trio. It's depth of passion, hot sex scenes and amazing characters all roll into an excellent read! The characters are so good together and they show that love is love. No matter who, why or where!! Loved it!

Although Double Dare features some fetishization of black men, it does craft a unique menage that is a satisfying and steamy experience.

I wasn't sure why I picked up this book from Amazon, after it got home it just didn't seem like something I would want to read (M/M/F) -- but, instead, it kept me up later last night than I should have stayed up reading it. It was a lovely little fantasy and I have hopes that Logan, Ty and Quinn will make it work.

Double Dare is a very hot and steamy romance with enough drama and angst to keep any reader coming back for more. With a solid storyline and a believable cast of characters, this novel dares you to explore your fantasies. Sensuality and passion combine to create a sizzling erotic romance with a flair for the intense. Double Dare is definitely a novel worth picking up and enjoying more than once.

This was more of a 3.5 star read for me, but I just couldn't make myself round up on this one. Goodreads really needs to allow for half stars.

This wasn't a bad menage book. I actually loved the interaction and relationship that was already established between Logan and Ty. But when Quinn was added into the mix I didn't see a great relationship development arc for Quinn, Logan, and Ty. A lot of it seemed to happen off the page and all the reader got was the sex scenes. This book could be a lot stronger if the author spent more time developing the relationships (especially for Ty since I think he got the short end of the stick) between the trio, have them talk more about something other than sex, and don't gloss over the getting-to-know-you stage. This wasn't a case of instalove, but I also didn't see how or why the three fell in love. They just did.

I understand that this is a menage book so I should expect a lot of sex. I do, and it has been pretty hot. But I wish there was more character development. I’m having a hard time keeping the names straight because other than their physical characteristics, there’s not a lot of other details we know about Quinn, Logan, or Ty other than broad brushstrokes. There is also a bit of immaturity in the characters, especially Quinn. For a grown woman in her 30s, she certainly acts like a teenager when it comes to her parents.

This book had great potential but just left so much unfinished.

DNF at about 15%, almost DNF on the first 5 pages.
We open with Logan, who believes he is far too evil to be in church so he acts like an ass to a teenage usher at a wedding (because the question "bride or groom" was just too complicated for him to understand). He does at least have the decency to turn down the drunk chick coming on to him.
Quinn is the drunk chick. We meet her while she is mentally fat shaming one of her friends. Nice. Her friends dare her to pick up the hot guy Logan, but he turns her down. Then he runs into her in the parking lot just as she is about to pass out. For plot reasons he naturally has to take her to his house. She wakes up with no hangover & approx 5 minutes after stumbling into the kitchen her & Logan have some BDSM action with no discussion, no safe word and no condom.
Then Logan's lover Ty arrives and while Quinn is standing there naked Ty feels her up and the guys discuss her like she was a horse or a slave they were thinking of buying.
And then I DNF the book.
