It was fascinating to hear Rachel’s story and have some context about aspects of her career. It was fascinating to hear about her treatment by Hollywood and the archetypes she fills. I also loved hearing her talk about her son and the situation with her son’s father. It had the makings of a gloriously alt romcom. There were times listening when I was so moved by what she was saying that I had tears in my eyes. All in, this is a surprisingly touching and laugh out loud funny memoir from a brilliant comic mind and talent.

Charming and Quirky (and Funny!)
I enjoyed it - even laughed out loud a few times (not common for me). I love memoirs of funny people that they read themselves and she delivered. Unfamiliar w/ her SNL work but I'll check it out since I enjoyed the book so much.

A funny read. Not the best bio I've read, but not the worst either.

This was funny but not quite as funny as some other memoirs I've read (Tina Fey, Samantha Bee, etc). I love Rachel Dratch, but the writing was kind of...telling, not showing? If that makes sense. Still, it was light, airy reading that took me a couple of days and not a whole lot of brain power, and that's about all my 9 months pregnant brain can take right now! :)

Rachel Dratch is incredibly likeable. She's had a lot more struggles in her life than I was aware of, but the way she talks about them is hilarious. She makes you look at your own life with a better sense of humor. A very quick read and worth picking up.

Rachel Dratch was on SNL for 7 seasons, but after that contract ends and a part on 30 Rock doesn't quite pan out she finds herself at loose ends. She ventures into the dating world of New York City with varying and hilarious results. After starting a long distance relationship she gets the biggest surprise of all.

I've been devouring celebrity memoirs lately so I was definitely interested in reading this one. Her dating stories are pretty funny, and then of course her take on becoming a mother in her 40s is a great story. I enjoy learning about the lives of people in memoirs. This one was just okay for me. Lots of swearing and "adult" content.
