DNF
Looks like that’s the end of the Serpent and Dove series for me. I’m legitimately losing brain cells from the amount of stupid decisions and miscommunication these characters make. Why were trees wasted on this unedited mess???

THIRD TIME’S THE CHARM / retry #2 / ACTUAL RATING
4 stars
Absolutely abysmal to get into, but once the action starts it doesn’t stop. The first 100 pages of this were horrid. The last 100 moved so quickly I wasn’t sure what was going on. The strangest part of this book was Reid’s shift from being a good, albeit temperamental love interest—to being the most annoying son of a bitch I’d ever had the misfortune of reading about. I listened to this on audio—at 3.5 speed. It was a book that had some good/cute moments and stuff—which is why I’m giving it four stars. Mahurin’s writing has taken a nose dive with this. Might re-read S&D just to remember the good times
