I can't believe this was my first Melissa Foster book. Where the heck have I been? Sweet and sexy with an engaging cast of characters. It’s an inviting read with a swoon worthy hero. Truly wonderful!

Dean and Emery coming together was so fantastic. It was light, fun, and witty, drawing me in. I loved seeing their friendship grow into more. I loved their struggles and personal battles as they come together. Emery had such a great personality, she was a spitfire. I loved watching her blinders come off when it came to Dean. And Dean? Oh my! Sweet and sexy! I adored him. I loved how open and caring he was, so strong and confident. Their playful connection made for some really entertaining moments, I loved their conversations and the easy flow of them being together. They had fantastic chemistry and I love how that built. I had so much anticipation for them to truly connect.

There are great secondary stories happening with both Emery and Dean that I enjoyed as well. I liked how they were their for each other during those trials. There is a tremendous cast of inviting characters introduced making you want to become a part of their world. This made me want to read other stories and series the author has written, it was so enticing.

The writing was excellent. There was great character development for Dean and Emery and I felt like they really came alive. The story was so inviting, really pulling me in as I got to know the characters and where they live in. I couldn't get enough, I was excited while reading and invested.

This was just an entertaining read. Sweet, fun, romantic and sexy and filled with love and hope. I love being pulled in to a new world! I see reading more Melissa Foster in my future.

Gotta say Melissa fosters Love in bloom series is one of my favorites. This book encompasses everything I love about Melissa’s stories. I love how dean knows what he wants from the beginning and isn’t afraid of his feelings. Another amazing book

ARC received for an honest review

I have not read the first book in the Bayside Summer series, however this did not affect my enjoyment of Bayside Passions at all.

I liked that our lovelies already knew each other well when the story starts (I assume it was all set up in the first book in the series). I liked that they could dive right into their friendship and more.

I freaking adore Dean. He is all kinds of swoonworthy and I was ready to scream at my kindle that if Emery didn't want him I would have him).

Now Emery - ugh, she frustrated me so much. I couldn't connect, and even at the end of the book I still didn't like her. I don't know exactly what it was, but nope, couldn't handle her at all.

Which made it had for me to get right into the story. And I hated that.

Don't get me wrong, I liked the story line, I liked the main man and I liked the other characters in the book, but my dislike of our leading lady took me out of the story.

And that has never happened to me with a Melissa Foster book.

It is probably just a case of "it's not you, it's me" with this one.

I do look forward to going back and reading the first book, and look forward to what Ms Foster brings us next.

Rounding up solely based on the awesomeness of the yoga in this book. Plus...Viking men are hot.

Emery is impulsive. The prototypical flighty yoga teacher. That's why she's decided to move to her new job a week ahead of time. And she'll stop off at her buddy Dean's house to pee because she isn't able to get to her friend Desiree's. Dean's her best guy friend, someone she'd never sleep with because she's keeping him as friend.
Dean is not okay with being in the friend zone. But he's using it as an excuse to get closer to Emery (ew, ew, ew). And he's an alpha hole. Like, really. I finished this book but he skeeved me.

Looking for a fun, sweet, and sexy read? I enjoyed Bayside Passions a great deal and I think you will as well! Friends to lovers and a small town romance combine to create a super enjoyable story! Emery and Dean will steal your heart. He is calm and she is chaos, but they are their perfect match!

Another wonderful addition to Melissa Foster’s Love in Bloom family. For some reason this particular offshoot of the series is not numbered in the way the rest are, but I know it’s the second in this offshoot series. I really loved the first book, Bayside Desires. I enjoyed this one, too. It was just a bit harder for me to get lost in…probably more to do with what’s going on in my real life than the book itself. I’m in middle of some major stuff over here and have barely had time to read. Plus, I’ve fallen into bed early actually too tired to get more than a chapter or two in each night.

Regardless of my own personal issues right now, I couldn’t help but swoon over Dean. Oh my, he is a charmer. He’s definitely an alpha male, but somehow comes across as sweet while he’s being bossy. Plus, he seems to know when to back off to give Emery room to breath and regroup when needed.

Emery is so much fun. I love that she found a way to make a living doing what she loves, even if that isn’t what most people would consider a “tradition” career. She never wavers in knowing she is helping people and doing the right thing for herself and those around her. I love that confidence in her abilities. She has other insecurities, but when it comes to her choice in career she is all confidence and take-charge.

I mentioned earlier that I had trouble getting lost in this story. I truly do think it was more of my personal situation. I love the setting, the people, and the story. I’m so beyond ready for Drake and Serena to get their story and their HEA, so I’m glad they’ll be next in this series. These books always make me wish I had the time and money to book a Cape Cod vacation…or just up and move there!

Emery Andrews shows the difference between residents and non-residents. We remember to stop as close to the last rest stop as possible because you just never know. You always want to plan when it’s “in season”. Dean Masters will have you laughing along with him. This is one thing I love about this author. She makes it so easy to laugh at someone else’s pain. She also has me wishing that I could call Dean – I could use his help out in my yard.

Our couple just seems so easy going with each other. And that’s true about all the friends. You can see how much they all care about each other. I laughed so hard throughout this book and you’ll find that hard not to do right from the very start. Our author shows how hard it can be for friends to take their relationship to the next level. I still plan on making a return trip to the Cape and when I do I will be people watching with a more discerning eye to see I can make out a group of friends who remind me of Ms. Foster’s characters. Oh, did I not mention that her books will be there with me? The Cape, and Ms. Foster’s books, bring back some very happy memories from my childhood.

The only thing I couldn’t figure out with this book was whether I loved Dean and the way he kept chipping away at a wall to get to the woman behind it. I will also have to think of Dean as I rake up the numerous oak leaves that end up in my yard every year. Or was it watching the light going on above Emery’s head. Looking forward to Bayside Heat – can’t get here soon enough.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Bayside Passions Melissa Foster is the second book in the Bayside Summer series.
Featured in this installment are Emery Andrews and Dean Masters whom I was introduced to in the previous installment. It was at this point I recognised the possibility of them becoming a couple, and so I was eager for them to get their own story. Ms. Foster did not disappoint.

My Thoughts.
Like all of Melissa’s books Bayside Passions focused on romance, friendship and family. The story highlighted the challenges one faces being part of a dysfunctional family and having to contend with a controlling patriarch. Besides the romance, which I thought was well developed; there was humour and many smoldering moments. The humour, which was spot on, had me smiling at every page turn.

One thing with Melissa’s romance is they are free of drama and there is little or no conflict. Bayside Passions was no different. It was a sweet friends to lover’s romance, which was free of drama and conflict.

It is always a pleasure interacting with the characters in Melissa’s stories. Dean and Emery share a special bond of friendship, which slowly developed into a romance filled with heat and topped off with a hint of sweetness. They are the opposite of each other. Dean is methodical and a thinker. Emery on the other hand is adventurous and impulsive. In spite of their differences, they worked well together making them a perfect couple. Their romance was not without its challenges. Challenges, which were self-imposed and required soma amount of convincing to prove that their love was worth risking their friendship.

Conclusion/Recommendation
Overall, this was fun and sexy friends to lovers romance, and one I would recommend to fans of the trope.

Thank you to Lisa for letting me take part in this blog tour. We met Emery and Dean in Bayside Desires and I knew then that there was something between these two.

Since Christmas, at the end of Bayside Desires, Dean and Emery have spoken pretty much every day. Whether it be a text,a telephone call or a video-chat most it had become unusual for a day to go by without them having some communication. When Emery moves to Wellfleet the sexual  tension between the two finally starts to bubble over.

Emery is a whirlwind of a girl who only knows how to speak her mind. She blows in scattering her stuff here there and everywhere but for Dean the sight of her stuff just fills his heart. After months of getting to know Emery, Dean knows there's no one else he'd rather have creating chaos in his life.

Dean is strong but sensitive. He's the kind of man that makes you feel safe by just being in his presence. It' also quite obvious he will do anything for those that he loves.

As always Melissa has created brilliant characters that you can't help but root for and a bunch of side characters that you are dying to get to know more. Violet was my favourite and  I cannot wait for her book. I also loved Rose and her friends. Rose is a very determined lady and her friends are hilarious. I can imagine when I'm old that me and my friends will be just like Rose and her friends.

This book has some big laughs but also some surprises up its sleeve that I didn't see coming.  Dean and Emery are a perfect match and I can't wait to see who Melissa creates for us next.
