Setelah lama gak baca Novel Bang Tere, akhirnya aku memutuskan meminjam Pulang dari Perpus Rumah Sakit. Aku jarang baca novel genre action, membaca Pulang ini seperti menonton film.

Menggunakan Pov 1 Bujang dan Pov 3 serba tahu, serta alur maju-mundur, membuat pembaca terbuai sampai tiba-tiba sudah halaman terakhir.

Adalah Bujang, pemuda dari pedalaman Sumatra, diangkat anak oleh Tauke Besar sejak umur 15 tahun. Selama 20 tahun dididik secara fisik dan mental serta disekolahkan sampai S2 di Amerika untuk mewarisi bisnis keluarga Tong: shadow economy.

Jujur saja ini pengalaman baru aku membaca tema mafia black market, sehingga informasi yang ada di dalam novel ini memberi insight baru dan membuka pintu penasaran.

Masa lalu Samad dan Midah tentu membuat novel ini menjadi melankolis tapi mendukung keseluruhan cerita.

Sangat direkomendasikan untuk pembaca yang suka tema petualangan.

I barely read any Indonesian novels. I always thought every Indonesian novel was about romance, about high schoolers and cringey, until I read this book. Actually, I always love this kind of book. A story that is deep and down. The meaning of this story is very wide. It'll be deeper if we read it in a certain situation. This kind of story gives the readers hope and motivation. The meaning of the story not just ended in betrayal and faithfulness, but deep down, in a confidence within a person, faith to a certain energy that always calls us 5 times a day, principles, and other things that could be applied to every person and every religion. This is epic. I legit love it. Very clean, and also beautiful.

Awalnya bener-bener tertarik banget sama konsepnya, karena tentang orang-orang yang berkuasa di shadow economy gitu kan, berharap banyak action as user of the shadow economy dan semacamnya, tapi isinya malah kebanyakan flashback dan penulisannya sangat membosankan, jujur baca ini malah jadi seminggu karena lagi-lagi ga nemu titik keseruannya, banyak yang aku skip karena ngerasa bosen :’) the funny thing is aku ngerasa buku ini seru pas udah dihalaman ke 360-an hahahaha sayang banget dah. Rasanya mah drop buku ini tapi karena mau review juga jadinya aku paksain baca deh sampe akhir. Yaudah sekian.

Buku Tere Liye pertama yang aku baca. Well, selesai baca buku ini, aku gak sabar nunggu ngoleksi dan baca semua bukunya Tere Liye. I can't even say anything. The book is awesome!
