Blaze really raises the bar when it comes to the next generation of the Gallo's. As this story was five-star perfection, and I was hooked from the very first moment Lily Gallo is reintroduced to her high school crush Jett Michaels, who arrives at Inked for a piercing, in a very intimate place, and from that moment these two start on a journey, that is full of miscommunication, insecurities and threats from one very over protective but extremely lovable daddy. Yes, I'm talking about Michael Gallo

I love when the shy smart girl gets the hot irresistible bad boy. What I'm not a fan of is a series that's so connected I don't completely get my HEA or a great epilogue. Boo! But I still love this couple.

Blaze is a pretty good romance. It started out well. It was very funny and sweet. I am not a big fan of virgin main characters but I liked this couple. Lily was very sure in not doing anything until she was ready, and Jet was very respectful of her choices and of her as a person. What bothered me was the family treating Lily like they owned her, especially her father. Really, it was the older men in the family. I noticed in the previous three books that the fathers had a proprietary air, but it was very bad in this one.
The narrators were very good. They did a great job both with differentiating characters and their interpretation. Because of the narrators and how much I liked the main characters, I am giving four stars.

I don't know how I've missed the Men of Inked series - either I've been living under a rock or my book reading buddies have some 'splaining to do - but now that I've met some of the characters, I'll be remedying that problem soon.
In Blaze, Jet and Lily are front and center and this romance is just all kinds of swoon-worthy. Now, I don't know if Jet lived up to his reputation in earlier books, but it is mentioned here. As for the here and now, he's a brilliant combination of sweet and sexy. He's all alpha male but comfortable enough in his skin to put Lily first. Speaking of Lily, I absolutely loved when she has her big epiphany about her life.
This is the audiobook, and Chelle Bliss couldn't have chosen narrators any better. The book is done in dual narration with chapters alternating between Lily and Jet, and Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke are terrific. Samantha Brentmoor captures Lily's innocence and doubt combined with her struggle to assert herself perfectly, and if you haven't had the pleasure of listening to Jason Clarke, you don't know what you're missing. You can't help but swoon over that voice, and he gives us the sexy and the emotional in equal measure.
As I mentioned, this is my first experience with the Gallo family, but it will not be my last. I definitely have some catching up to do as I wait for the next in the Heatwave series.

I really enjoyed Lily and Jet! They were so sweet and this one is a very low-drama HEA story that will have you ready to read the rest of the series! You can read it in order or out of order, because you'll have overlaps either way and they're always a happy moment of seeing that character again. Definitely recommend this series!
The audiobook was so well done. Both narrators did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life and pulling me even deeper into the story.
