I have been looking for a book where the main character would be described as the antagonist in any case where the book would not be told from their perspective, and this delivered that. You see the beloved characters from the first book, with some really cool new ones (Magiano). I really enjoyed seeing the protagonist get "eviler" and inflict revenge.

It would be a lie to say that this book wasn’t dark. Adelina is cruel, selfish and, in my opinion, quite merciless. For me it was hard to like a protagonist as dark and twisted as her and really dive into the story.

However, Lu has written Adelina’s story so incredibly well that I still couldn’t just stop reading. It is full of action, emotion and magic and keeps you guessing what will happen next.

If you’re tired of reading about the heroes this is perfect for you.

Aaaayyyy, ¡cómo me encantó este libro! Adoro esta trilogía y, agh, NECESITO leer el tercer y último libro YA MISMO. Tengo que admitir que la trama no es del todo original y, si, en varios aspectos es un cliché y de algún modo siento que ya vi esta historia, pero aún así nunca había visto algo así jajajaj. Ya sé, medio ilógico. Aún así, los personajes son asombrosos y me encantaron enormemente, junto a la maravillosa ambientación. Como en el primer libro, no me parece que la escritura sea increíble ni de cerca, pero respeto profundamente a Lu porque, bueno, si que sabe construir un libro !! ES GENIAL !!! Sin duda recomiendo esta trilogía.

All sorts of twisted darkness with a few slivers of joy. Fine sequel... damn fine.

Creo que este libro es mucho más oscuro que el primero([b:The Young Elites|20821111|The Young Elites (The Young Elites, #1)|Marie Lu|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1407318399l/20821111._SY75_.jpg|25217978]). Pero me encanta como la autora hace un personaje tan estupendo, como es Adelina. Vale, sí, es oscura. Pero ya sabes las razones por las que actúa así.

Pero quiero decir que realmente no shippeo a Magiano y Adelina. Pero realmente me gustaría ver el desarrollo de esta relación. Porque creo que Adelina, por su propio bien, necesita a alguien como él.

I liked this but not as much as book 1. It seemed as if book one focused on world building, character development and was full of action/adventure.

In this book we get to see more of the relationship of the two sisters which I liked. As well as a new potential love interest Magiano. The plot of this book was underwhelming. The main focus was bringing Enzo back to life. Besides that not much else seemed to happen. It will be interesting to see what book 3 has in store and if it'll be redeeming.
