This whole series was really fun. It's like Game of Thrones only the your main hero is a cowardly womanizer. Only he finds in the end that he's not really cowardly. And his best friend is Snorri, so VIKINGS!

What an ending! I now have to read the Prince of Thorns series! Jalan, Snory and the rest of the gang are at the end of their journey and now we find out that this is actually a post-apocalyptic world! I was completely mind blown at the information. This was a great way to conclude The Red Queens War!

The universe that The Red Queen's War and The Broken Empire takes place is one of the most fascinating and original of the High Fantasy world. The final book in this trilogy (please let it not be the final one of this universe) expands this truly original fantasy meets science-fi dystopia saga like very few books have been able to do before.

Mark Lawrence is well on his way to being one of the greatest high fantasy authors of his time, can't wait to see what he brings next.

Yeah, pretty much as brilliant as I could have expected. Lots of explanations given, though the connections between TBE/RQW and BotA/BotI still seem quite the mystery.

Enjoyed the flips between Hel and reality - one moment made it seem like weird time stuff might be happening, but just little hints I guess - and Jalan earning his place among the Kendeths. Also loved the revelation about the nature of magic in this world and how different it is from that of the later books.

This trilogy wasn't what I expected after Emperor of Thorns, but blew me away nonetheless. Excited for more!

Mr Lawrence just keeps on delivering. Such a knack for storytelling and drama. Several instances during this particular series I actually yelled out loud when coming to revelations. I can't fan girl enough about how highly I think of Lawrences work. His way with words and pulling you in to the story and world is astounding. Looking forward to more to come.
