What a beautiful little hopeful read, a diverse world and a truly believable level of magical realism. I can see this being a comfort read, and I’m also happy that this book wasn’t overbearing with its Christmas time-frame, it felt like there was actually time passing across the seasons. 

I might read this book again, it was very sweet, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy story.

I took my time with this book, and I absolutely regret nothing! I found out about Mika Moon and her witchy life on BookTube, and I immediately purchased this book for my Kindle. I love the charcters and the world-building. Sometimes, you just need a cozy fantasy to make your day, and this book gave me all the fluffy feelings in my belly that I enjoy. Mika's relationship to all of the charcters, especially with Jaime and the kids, were sweet as pie and warm as tea. By the way, if you expected spice, this book might be suggestive but definitely not the spiciest I've read. I just wish the ending was not so rushed. But I did enjoy the twist! Didn't see that one coming. This book is magical, and I wish I consumed it earlier.

Perfection. No notes.

The first big plot twist seemed a bit contrived, but after the way the second plot twist wrapped it up, I no longer minded it. All of the characters are charming and loveable. The narration was great on the audio version. It has some House in the Cerulean Sea vibes but is its own story of finding a sense of belonging. Lighthearted, funny. Only one spicy scene but great romantic tension, so it's enjoyable without taking over the story and overshadowing the greater themes.
