not a big fan of this ending. the very public get back together isn’t a great thing but i did like the whole team finally standing up and banding together against the horribly mean coach

Half the book is hearing about how much Reid loves football, how he was a scrawny kid and now he's not. And the other half is about a completely unreasonable coach that says things you would never be able to say or do. But Reid really killed it when he was so awful to Leona and said things he couldn't take back very easily. It was a bit bored and definitely annoyed that Reid thought about himself more than anything else.

Good start to the new St. Francis U series, where we get a sport football romance. I certainly enjoyed the antics and banter between the characters. Reid and Leona were a good couple and I am so looking forward to the rest of the character's stories. Definitely had a good time reading this one.

Kiss and Tell, the first in a new series jam-packed with everything I expect from Maya Hughes. As the first couple in the series, Reid and Leona have set the bar high. Their story is super sweet and just as sexy. It's a bit of a when you know, you know kind of love, and these two certainly know - even when they pull away to keep their secrets. True to form, Maya gives us all the feels, from laughs to swoon to heartache, it's all there in spades as this couple figures things out. They have terrific chemistry and that conclusion was absolutely perfect (no spoilers, you'll have to see for yourself). So, here we are with a brand new series, and we're off and running. In addition to this lovable couple, there are some great secondary characters who I'm sure will get their turn, and I can't wait.

This was a really good story and it kept me turning pages to find out how things could go. Of course from reading Maya Hughes other New Adult series titled Fulton U, I had heard of this other school, St. Francis U as a rival. So I like how the author gave us the point of view from the other side. Because obviously there are two sides to every story. In this series we are dealing with a college football coach that may be a winning coach, but really, he is pretty much one of the biggest jerks in the world. And it’s not just about trying to win, he’s so petty! Benching students for stupid reasons, like who they date because the father of the girl is someone he doesn’t like. And even worse than that, the things he puts his team through when he gets upset. Wow.

And then there is Leona. She’s just transferred, and actually from quite a ways away, Australia! And she has her own family issues, the reason she left her mother and stepfather and is now with her father. But even though her father is a really good guy, and it’s not a bad thing to go live with him, there are still reasons that Leona has to keep her burgeoning friendship, relationship with Reid a secret. Although I feel like it is one of those times she could have let her dad in on it sooner, that her dad would have met Reid and understood more than what his coach would react like if/when he found out they were dating.

I really liked the whole set up of this new university and players that I’m sure we’ll soon be seeing more stories from. A great start to a new series from an author that I always enjoy!
