Oh my God, what a book. I didn't think it would affect me as much as it did, but the bravery of this young women in attempting to give her daughter a good life after she'd gone is heartbreaking. I have no words.

I knew what to expect going into this book but it still broke my heart. I feel like the author managed the POV of a 21/22 year old incredibly well and throughout the book she seems to get wiser in a short period of time.

The character Gemma reminded me of my best friend so much which really pulled me in more and put me in the shoes of Jess. I loved how the dynamic of that relationship was portrayed.
