3.5/5 enjoyable story but I probably shouldn't have read this right after reading another by the same author. They were similar enough in plot and especially writing (certain phrases etc) that it got a bit tiresome at times. Fun story though and I liked the ending.

Meh. Once you're introduced to all the characters, the rest of the book is easy to guess.

Soft pick. Very suspenseful, definitely kept me reading, but I don’t know that it will stand out in the long run.

I liked it but I won't remember it. The character connections are all relatively obvious but I don't think the author was trying to make anything too secretive or unexpected. Random but based on the title, I expected more to happen on the train than what we got.

Super fast read since I wanted to know the next ins and outs that would be exposed. Dark and violent and twisted but a quick, solid read

At first I was a little disappointed because I felt strong "strangers on a train" vibes, but then the story took a turn and I was sort of hooked. Not entirely hooked, but sort of. I was mildly intrigued. As the story went on and picked out I began to enjoy it more, and the ending tied everything up nicely.

It took me a little while to get hooked, but once I did, I didn’t want to stop. I was able to piece together a lot of it along the way, but there were one or two things that did end up surprising me. Overall, good mystery.

Well this was not what i expected and i don't mean it in a good way.

The book has a promising start but then there are like 100 characters, they all talk to much, do too little and the ending is one of my favourite sorts of endings where the psychopath does amazing job of hiding for years on end and no one is suspecting anything.
