I had soooooo much fun with this book. the hallmark and stars hollow vibes are everything! I also just love this style of friends to lovers, <3 though I would have liked more about Stella's Mom and background, it felt like a bit of a loose end...

I mostly read this book just because I thought the cover was pretty but this book was so cute!! The Christmas tree farm and small town setting was so perfect for Christmas - it gave me Stars Hollow vibes. And I loved the friends-to-lovers they were just so cute.

Loved! This is what my friends to lovers dreams are made of. And who doesn't love a Christmas Tree Farm setting!

Review #2: This will always make me cry and I must read it every December or I may die.

(Rounded to 3) This doesn't need a review but I have a rant lololol
Look, I love a good silly reason for characters do the fake dating thing. Objectively, it's a silly trope (I KNOW THIS) but it's gotta make a little tiny bit of sense for it to work. And this specific reason seemed extra dumb? "Oh I lied on a contest application and said I ran this farm with my bf so it would seem like a romantic destination for couples"?!? Why would that have any effect on your ability to win said contest? One character briefly calls it out like "you don't need a man to do that bla bla bla" but still? And I know what you'll say, that's literally in the synopsis Alex, you knew this going in! To that I'll say I expected a complication of some sort to justify it? Like maybe she accidentally entered a couples contest. Or maybe it was on purpose but it was ONLY opened to couples? Also fine. That would have been enough! Also the execution of it doesn't even make sense in the book! I'm a simple girl, I just ask that the fake characters in my fake stories come up with lies that make a tiny bit of sense. No ammount of "cuteness" or cheesy small town antics™️ could turn this around. Tbh I was more invested in the drama of the side characters which I guess is the setup for the "next story of the series" (which I will read lol).

P.s: No actual Christmas happens. It's just set on a Christmas tree farm where Holiday themed activities happen. So in a way, it didn't matter that I read this in April.
