I give this a 3.5; I love Britney and her story is moving, heartbreaking, and at times a little fun and sassy. Very sad to hear about everything she went through and glad she got to share on her own terms what she wanted to share, especially with such strength and grace.

Liked listening to Michele Williams tell this story. Very interesting account of Britney’s story and her family.

Love Britney and hope she makes a ton of money off this memoir. I selfishly wish we would have gotten a bit more depth into some of the experiences she talks about in the book, but I’m overall so proud of her for sharing her story on her terms. Loved reading all her Britney-isms and quirky descriptions and I hope this was a healing experience for her. Definitely worth the read!

I am NOT rating her life. I admire Britney so much, and feel horrible about everything that has happened to her. Her bravery, resilience, and ownership deserve applause, and the fact that she can speak about what happened to her with grace, when many people wouldn’t even make it out of her circumstances alive, is quite admirable.
HOWEVER.
Even with a ghost writer, I’m not a fan of the overall composition of the memoir. I found that it was a bit repetitive and like word jumble, and had a lot of components just touched upon that could’ve gone into more depth.
With that said, I’ll recommend this to everyone, as Britney was wildly misunderstood and deserves to have her name cleared. I wish nothing but the best for her.

I’m never *not* going to give Britney 5 stars. But I wish there had been way more details in this book.

A harrowing tale finally told in Britney’s voice. As someone who grew up a big fan of Britney, I appreciated the book for what it is. I read the audiobook, and that’s where most of my thoughts lie. The ends of the chapters sometimes felt abrupt. Michelle Williams was an interesting choice for narration. Did anyone else think she was trying to fake a southern accent in the beginning chapters?

Sad
This book was just sad. I feel sorry for Brittany. It’s definitely a book of abuse from her family. It feels like her family just used her as a cash cow. They lived off her money and abused her at the same time mentally. I’m surprised she even talks with any of them. The book sounds like it was written by a young girl instead of someone in their 40’s. It feels like she hasn’t had time to grow. I wish nothing but the best for her going forward.
