Stands up as a classic. I enjoyed the poetic imagery throughout. Very violent.

I finished and I liked it.  I’m glad I didn’t have a class to ruin it for me; I could just enjoy the story.  I got lost with all the different names for the same people and probably missed a ton of subplots with gods/goddesses I wasn’t familiar with, but I also didn’t hate it when I was done so figure I’ll take that.

Better than "Jason and the Argonauts". Interesting to see a Troy point of view of the Trojan War.

"How can I write something completely derivative of Homer but less interesting and with more blatant propaganda for my patron?" Virgil thought to himself. Unfortunately for me, he found his answer.
