i don't care if yaall call me biased for giving this book 5 stars but I love this book A LOT! The romance subplot is INSANE...the longing, groveling, and chemistry between Corrick and Tessa have me SCREAMING. the plot is very good too (sorry I was too immersed in the romance), there's politics, friendship, new world setting (anyway its that good, its just written very YA)

Pacing was a little slow at first, but then Blakemore showed up and they got on his ship and the adventure began. The story really started to pick up with action/more questions than answers and I realized oh yay we are getting a cliffhanger and a third book
