Big heart for this book. Familiar characters, new setting & circumstances, and new characters (I think, been a while since I read in the Sandman universe) to expand on.

This is a stunning graphic novel. The art is just unreal! I loved returning to the Sandman Universe. I did feel like the stories were too short and so the development felt simple or rushed but I still had a wonderful reading experience.

Overall, this is a really sweet story. Far less about the Dreaming (or most of its residents) than the previous iteration of “The Dreaming” was. But there are some delightfully wild ideas here - multiple Shakespeares, a nightmare falling in love with a human, and a witch being hunted by Puck himself. The results aren’t always as spectacular as the premises, and (as is often the case in all “Sandman”- related stories) some storylines aren’t explored as in-depth as you’d like them to be and the conclusion feels a bit rushed. But on the whole, a very worth addition to the Sandman Universe. Packed with creative ideas, gorgeous artwork, and giant heapings of heart. It’s well worth a read.

The story is a bit all over the place. Love the characters though.

Though I admittedly liked the first arc of this book better than the second, Wilson managed to absolutely enchant me all the way through. The art by both Robles and Rodriguez was absloutely stunning and fit the tone of The Dreaming perfectly.
