don't know if it was the writing or the fact that I was somewhat distracted while reading this one, but it just didn't hit as hard as the last few. This is blue lock, so obviously it was a good read with amazing visuals, but I wasn't as entertained as I was with the previous one (tho I think that's bc I love chaos, and this volume, unlike the other one, is pretty tame and straight-forward). Barou coming in to play was great, his plays were really fun and engaging, but that's about it. Felt more like build up for the final play in the next volume tbh.

Oh, this game is AMAZING! This may make me start to watch soccer. It's so good to see the character develop and harness their skills. The volume is definitely a favorite. Bring on the next volume!!!!

this was such an excellent volume, this game is so exciting and tense and i need to see it animated IMMEDIATELY. i must admit i'm a barou fan, whenever he shows up things just get so much more entertaining. also appreciated the short but sweet oliver backstory and rin starting to ramp things up, and then at the end my #1 fave bachira is finally coming back into the game!! going to read the next volume straightaway
