The characters in this novel have more emotional depth and roundness than Pride & Prejudice. If you loved Darcy, you are going to love Wentworth's confession.

This was long overdue for a re-read because I didn't remember the story at all! I love the prolonged romance and the classic Janeite villain.

This book maybe equal in my mind to pride and prejudice... which is my all time favorite. It had a slow start (but so did pride and prejudice) but I was soon entranced with Anne Elliot and wanted to be her. Jane Austen remains my favorite author and does not does disappoint.
