I somewhat enjoyed this book. I think she could have done a lot more with the book than she did but it was still a pretty good book.

Surprisingly enjoyable! The story is genuinely engaging as I became invested in who would win the war and the plot moves well with the chapter perspectives alternating between the two siblings. The business tips and definitions that open each chapter are a nice touch to communicate information about running a business to young readers. I wish that the mother of these kids had been a more active presence, although this did force Evan and Jessie to be proactive about dealing with their problems, and that the book hadn't shamelessly ended on a cliffhanger, but otherwise this was a fun read to share with my son.

This book was really amazing...this is all about two siblings fighting each other. And at the end of the story the two siblings, they are already getting along...

Fourth-grader Evan Treski is people-smart. He’s good at talking with people, even grownups. His younger sister, Jessie, on the other hand, is math-smart, but not especially good with people. So when the siblings’ lemonade stand war begins, there really is no telling who will win—or even if their fight will ever end. Brimming with savvy marketing tips for making money at any business, definitions of business terms, charts, diagrams, and even math problems, this fresh, funny, emotionally charged novel subtly explores how arguments can escalate beyond anyone’s intent.

This book was great! This story was your anger will slowly fade away, if you work things out. It was nicely written, I love the characters, and the end of the story.

Two siblings engage in a lemonade war to see who can earn the most money before school starts. There are some tensions between the two who have seemingly had a good relationship in the past. This is a nice realistic fiction story for middle grades. There is enough humor and suspense to keep the readers interest.

A really great story about siblings and how they miscommunicate and turn everything into something bigger than it really is. Evan and Jessie remind me a lot of my own two children, they share a special bond of love and friendship, but they also have their moments when they get upset with one another. I also really enjoyed how the author made selling lemonade a very profitable venture. Something I know my son knows all about.

Evan and Jessie are polar opposite brother and sister. Evan is good with people while Jessie is good with numbers. Unfortunately for Evan this now means that Jessie will be in his class next year. It's the end of summer and tempers are running high in the heat wave, when Evan and Jessie find themselves battling things out in a lemonade war where the winner takes all.

This is a cute story that manages to teach kids the basics of running a small business without appearing didactic.
