Faster paced than the first book, and a bit easier to follow. There was a lot of growth for the main character!

Nix and crew travel into the lan of myth, mermaids, and sea in this haunting time-travel sequel of "The Gril from Everywhere". With Kashmir's POV also added in the plot thise sequel was very sweet, albeit a little slow at the beginning. It has thick mystery at the start but as the story progress and our heroes travel into yet another map (there also a map of ANCIENT GREECE!), Nix discovers that her gift for nivigating can cause more enemies to arise.

I liked it very much and honestly I wouldn't mind yet another sequel!

I am quite often disappointed with sequels but Heidi Heilig really got this right for me. It had all the aspects of the first book that I loved while adding to it. I couldn't put this down and
Spoiler loved the ending, wrapping up certain plots while leaving parts open to interpretation.
Heidi Heilig has become one of my must-read authors.

I really loved me this series about a ship that uses special maps to travel through time. I liked seeing Nix step more into herself and start to trust others more. The mythical place that they traveled too was a mix of several myths and the events were interesting. Solid 2nd book and I cannot wait to see where the story goes
