Yet again A.L. Jackson hits it out of the park. She is an amazing storyteller and her newest book will have you hooked from the beginning. The emotions this book brings are so strong you feel as though you are a part of the story. Two people will forever changed by their encounter with one another and it will have them finally realizing they are worth so much more than they thought. They will have to look inside themselves and face their own inner demons and also deal with outside factors that will threaten everything they love. Take a chance on this amazing book by A.L. Jackson you will not be disappointed.

Kale is hoping this fresh start at a new clinic will help him move on in his life and help he focus on his job. While out celebrating with his friends, he meets Hope and is immediately drawn to her, little does he know she is about to rock his world.

Hope is having a rare night out and when she meets Kale she can’t deny the attraction between them but her life is way too complicated to risk something. Thinking she will not see him again, she is surprised when he shows up in her coffee shop a few days later. As they dance around each other, Kale finally convinces her to go out with him for one night. But when that night ends Hope tells him she has too much in her life to jeopardize right now.

Kale cannot stop thinking about Hope but knows he needs to give her space, but when he meets his newest patient he is shocked when he finds Hope there with her son. Kale begins to realize the magnitude of how much is at risk for Hope and wonders if he is able to be the support system she needs.

As Kale and Hope continue to dance around one another they both will have secrets they will continue to deal with. But will they be able to let go of the past and trust each other? Or are their fears too much to overcome?

All the swooning over here

One I love the name Harley Hope. It's one of the best names I've heard. Kale was so swoon worthy even when he was fighting his demons and add a little boy into the mix and it was an absolute five star read. Another amazing story in this series!

“As hard as I try to stop it, colliding with you feels unavoidable.”

This was for sure better than the first one and a lot more enjoyable, but I feel like Kale should've groveled more..

Damn but how this story took a piece of my heart each time Kale and Hope fell even more deeply in love with one another while also snatching jagged pieces every single time something held them back or forced them to take a step back. If there was ever a couple that desperately needed their own happy ending after seemingly getting dealt a losing hand in the past, it would have to be Kale and Hope. Being together was their second chance, but not in the way you may think because second chances don't necessarily mean having it with the same person as before.

There was one particular peripheral character who was very much a scene- AND heart-stealer (I know, I know...really terrible sounding made-up word right there!), and that would be none other than Evan, Hope's son. That boy saw things with an open mind and heart, and it was the baseness and simplicity in which he saw the world that hearkens back to the idea of seeing everything through the eyes of a child. To him, there was no need to over-complicate matters. He was truly the heart of this story, and when you read this novel, you'll understand why.

I've never doubted A.L. Jackson's ability to write a beautiful love story, but there's something undeniably extraordinary about her newest masterpiece. Going in, I knew I was going to be reading a well-written romance and that there would be feels and all, but goodness, this took the cake. So, I'm going to do you, fellow bookaholic, the favor I wish someone else had for me: Have a tissue or two handy. Follow Me Back made me remember that, more often than not, following your heart is a risk worth taking. This is a highly recommended five-plus star read. ♥

A.L. Jackson's writing is beautiful as always. It is prose that will have you swooning. It will make you feel everything the characters feel and it will transfer you into this world she created. I loved reading this. There was not a lapse at any point. Every page had me glued to the story. It was sexy and sweet and had me feeling all the emotions.

I am never surprised by how much I love a story by A.L. Jackson. Every book I read by her, I end up saying is my favorite from her. This one was no different. I am thoroughly enjoying the Fight for Me books and I can't wait to read more!

Another fantastic and heartfelt story with great characters. I wanted more of a resolution with the ex and what happened in the aftermath is the reason this didn't score higher. Still a solid story.

A.L. Jackson knows how to touch you profoundly with her incredible writing. In Follow Me Back, she fashioned the perfect mix of attraction, heartbreak, hope and charming characters to make this read exceptional.

Kale Bryant is not the kind of man to get his heart involves with women, but when he meets the stunning and reserved Hope, there’s just something compelling about her. He can’t stop thinking about this woman. I enjoy how from the very start this undeniable magnetism between them is impossible to ignore. Kale has this interesting carefree attitude. He’s flirty and charming, but also funny and dedicated. He lives for his job as a doctor taking care of his little patients. Under his picture-perfect nature, he hides heartbreak and guilt over a terrible event that forged the damaged man he now is. He’s fearful of opening his heart to Hope, because of these feelings of self-loathing and inadequacy.

“I’d allowed myself to love him so freely. Love him so easily. Because I saw so much greatness in him. So much kindness in his giving, bleeding heart. ”

While Kale is such an interesting protagonist, Hope is also a strong heroine and incredibly steadfast. She feels something for Kale, but her home situation is so difficult that she doesn’t see any possibility of a relationship with him. She works with one goal in her mind and nothing will make her swerve from this purpose. Kale is definitely a distraction, but he’s so enticing that the barriers she tries to put between them gradually erase.

The intense chemistry and sexual attraction is only growing and growing through the story and when it finally reaches its peak, the passion unleashed between these two is blissful and touching. A.L. Jackson has a magic touch with the way she beautifully crafts this kind of relentless anticipation. I live for these moments in a book!

“Don’t you dare give up on hope, Kale Bryant. Don’t you dare. Not when we’re finally free.”

I was so glad to see a little more of Rynna, Rex, Frankie Leigh, Nikki, Ollie, Lillith and Brody. I love how they’re such a great group of friends, always there to help Kale in his battles. There’s a sense of family more than friendship between Ollie, Rex and Kale and it shows remarkably in this series.

Once again, the Fight for Me series made me fall hard for a sweet couple with a lot of adversity, but a relationship so worth it! I laughed, swooned, cried and hurt for Hope and Kale. Follow Me Back is a ride of emotions over emotions that is not to be missed.
