WIN is the third Harlan Coben book that I have read. The action level in WIN was more intense than his other books. WIN gets more personally deep with his past. I'm looking forward to more stories featuring this unique antihero.

A different style of writing for Harlen Coben. I am not sure if I liked it that much.

I am not always a big reader of books by authors who have written so many books and are so popular that they tend to have their own shelf or wall of shelves at the bookstore. I make a few exceptions and Harlan Coben is one of those.
And I have a crush on this fictional character, Win Lockwood III. Have done since being introduced in my very first Myron Bolitar novel years ago. I was in a book challenge to read the first in series and Deal Breaker: Myron Bolitar #1 came up in books that fit the category and my taste for mysteries. I had a crush on Myron too but Win was the honeybunches. For all that he would be a difficult person to know or be around and he's borderline sociopath or I guess anti-hero.
I really liked this book. I am so glad Win gets his own series. We get to see his life in more detail or as much as he allows.
Plenty of twists and turns and reasons to stay in the parking lot or in the driveway to listen to that much more of my commute book. I was a wee bit late for work on one or two occasions, especially when I thought the book was ending and it wasn't. [I stayed late to make up my hours and my work, never fret]
I am very much looking forward to the next in the series and I hope it's a long-lived one.
I can absolutely recommend this book, series and author.

This is somehow the first book written by Harlan Coben that I have read. I have heard such great things about his works for years, yet this is the first time I have actually read one for myself. So weird that I haven’t before now!

Right away I picked up on the unique writing style. It is very different than the flow I am used to, it is more direct and precise rather than the fluid and descriptive style that I am used to. It is not a bad thing, just different, and takes a little to get used to, certainly not an easy or quick read. As I was reading, I envisioned it as a script for a TV series, one that I would happily watch and enjoy with my husband.

Was so fun to get to know Win. I have always thought of him as Myron's sidekick. Was also a treat to meet Win's biological daughter Ema. This book was a mystery involving some of Win's family, and Win is one kick ass investigator. Look forward to more books about Win. Hopefully Myron will appear as well!

Pretty good thriller/mystery. It's interestingly narrated - first person and the main character is not entirely likeable. Lots of pieces that don't all make sense at first but slowly fall into place. Kept me interested but not super fast paced (didn't feel the need to stay up all night to finish it).

This was sloooow and took me 3 weeks to finish. It took ages to get going but after about halfway through, it picked up.
