This is the 7th book in the series about the Bradford family. After 6 books, I know what to expect and I was not disappointed. The whole thing is just hilarious. Hilarious! We meet Duncan who haven’t been a big character in the other books. But he is an original Bradford trough and trough with the food obsession and everything. Then we met Necie, who is a queen in both cooking and baking. I would have thought the relationship between Duncan and Necie would start off from the beginning with his food obsession and her skills with food. But Necie is one unlucky person who keeps hurting herself or Duncan so he “hates” her and tries to avoid her at all costs. This is just one of those feel good books that I love.

Meh.. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't great. Necie was a klutz.. Duncan liked to help people. Naturally they end up together. It's been awhile since I've read a book about the Bradford men but I just felt like this one didn't live up to its potential. I always laugh with these books and I didn't with this one. Sure there were some funny parts but they were almost too predictable and that made them less funny. I really have no idea how to explain exactly what I mean but it just wasn't my favorite.
Idk and the little sneak peak at the next book doesn't sound that great. I mean I'll read it and I hope that it's better than it sounds. We shall see.

This could easily have been a 4 or 5 if not for a couple of small things.
I did not like that Necie was such a jinx. Everything, and I mean everything, that can go wrong goes wrong for this poor girl. It was a little too much for my taste.
I also didn't really like the obvious dislike from Duncan towards Necie,
Despite that I liked Duncan who have been a bit anonymous in the previous books, but now got a bit more of a personality.
I also think that the author could have emphasized that Duncan didn't seem to be ruled by his food addiction as the other Bradford and that made him not like the others, and the "rules" of marriage should not apply.
On the other hand I loved Grandpa and his way of trying to look out for his little girl. I kept thinking he had to be part Bradford, but no such luck.
The story was sweet and predictable and made me smile a couple of times.

even after they did the deed and in the beginning of the "dating".I also think that the author could have emphasized that Duncan didn't seem to be ruled by his food addiction as the other Bradford and that made him not like the others, and the "rules" of marriage should not apply.

Love HEA
I only dropped it down a star due to jumping back and forth between characters and jumping days in the timeline. If you aren’t paying attention it’ll make you reread (guilty here). However, if Necie didn’t have bad luck she’d have no luck at all and I can relate. I love a good Christmas story and the ‘Bradford tradition’ was a surprising touch. Would recommend for other holiday HEA seekers.

Finished it in one night. And really, the first three books are still the best books from the series but I kinda liked this one because Necie was somehow the combination of Hailey and Zoe, just like what the author wrote about this a combination of sort of Playing for Keeps and Perfection somewhere in the first part of the book. I hope this book is the end of the NFH series.
