Goodness, I really love the Harry Potter world/characters/series.
I adore how Harry, Ron, and Hermione all have difficult home lives (orphan/abusive home, poverty, muggle-born), yet they don't waste time complaining. Instead they cherish their time together.
I also love the wild adventures in this series. And I was surprised I still enjoyed this book so much, because I remember whenever I watched the movie the whole 'Harry getting blamed for things he didn't do' extremely irked me. That obviously was still annoying but not in the under-the-skin aggravating way I remember feeling watching the movie.
But yeah, this book is divine. This series is divine. My heart is happy when I read them.

A solid follow up to our introduction into the Harry Potter world. I don’t have very many glaring complaints except (spoiler) when Hermione gets petrified by the basilisk. I don’t think it was a bad idea in the sense that it added stakes to Harry and Ron’s mission, but honestly Hermione is one of my favorite characters and I was sad to see her gone for the last stretch of the book.
Overall I enjoyed this book quite a lot!

By far the funniest Potter book. It gets really dark after this, so enjoy the laughs while you can!

It'll never be as good as the first but I love that I'm making more and more connections from the second to the sixth/seventh. So good!
