hitmonsam's review against another edition
While I tend to agree with many of Dawkins’ points regarding religion, I felt this book was purposefully inflammatory while claiming it was not so. This felt dishonest, however I could have lived with that if it were not for his comments regarding childhood sexual abuse. I was unable to get past the extent to which he trivialises this issue and therefore stopped reading at this point. I assume this section would have raised eyebrows in its own time, and it has aged poorly since.

Incredibly enlightening. This book is a lovely companion to the journey of self discovery, our place in the cosmos and the dangers and the dispensability of religious beliefs.
