i liked this a lot! it set the tone of the story of grief and mystery as well as horror and conveys the feeling of tension and anxiety well. it's very horrific suddenly seeing weird stuff and scary things through an eye that is not existing anymore.
it's very intriguing!

The first couple of pages were cliche and boring. I didn’t really care for the main characters. I got interested when the gruesome things started to happen! The cliffhanger intrigued me and I’m curious to know more about Luke and what he is all about.

Wow. Probably one of the worst endings I've read in a long time.

Red Mother #1 is the start to an all-new psychological horror series from Boom Studios. If you’ve been looking for a good one to dive into, then this is the comic for you. Jeremy Haun (The Beauty, The Darkness), Danny Luckert (Regression, Haunted), and Ed Dukeshire (The Woods, Infinite Horizon) team up to bring us this chilling new read.

Daisy McDonough was just another ordinary person having a wonderful day with her boyfriend, Luke. But that ended up being the last normal day of her life. That night, Luke walked somewhere she couldn’t follow. And trying to follow merely put Daisy at risk.

Before I dive into this review, I would like to make one thing very clear. There are some really graphic images in Red Mother #1. For many people, these images would probably be fine. But if you’re particularly sensitive about eye injuries, this is a series you’re going to want to hard pass on. Also, don’t look at the alternate covers for this issue.

THE RED MOTHER #11, available Wednesday from BOOM! Studios, and this is the moment we’ve all been waiting for. Everything is finally starting to come together, as the inevitable fate chasing after Daisy McDonough comes ever closer.

Eleven issues ago, Daisy’s entire life was changed, and not for the better. She went from having a life she loved, to a life where she seems to keep losing everything. Now, it seems that whatever entity has gained an interest in her, has come back to take the rest. Or has it?

The Red Mother #11 is a dark issue, yet it is also a climatic one. This is an issue we’ve been waiting for, as the build-up has been steadily leading to whatever is about to happen next. After this, there will be only one issue left in the series.

That begs the question, how will the series wrap up? Will it continue on this dark path, or will Daisy find a way to fight, and possibly even win? I don’t know about everyone else, but I have my hopes. Though I’m not entirely certain which direction the series will ultimately take. That’s half the appeal.

THE RED MOTHER #12, available Wednesday from BOOM! Studios, concludes a series full of horror, gore, and trepidation. Daisy’s story has been far from an easy one, yet that makes it all the more compelling.

It’s hard to believe that we’re already twelve issues into The Red Mother, and that this issue brings about the finale. Yet it also feels right, in a weird way. This whole time has been about readying Daisy for a final confrontation. Perhaps, somewhere along the way, the fans were readied as well.

The Red Mother #12 has a lot riding on it. There are so many questions left unanswered. Plots that need to be tied up. All while maintaining that horrifying tone that the series has perfected so early on.

That thought raises a couple of important questions. Will this be a conclusion in true horror fashion? Or will it bring about a more satisfying ending? One that feels right for all characters involved – not just the monsters that crawl out from the shadows.

I was disappointed with the ending. I was kind of expecting some big climax, but it ended anticlimactically for me. It felt rushed in how it was just a big 'climatic' battle with red mother and then everything is back to normal now.

This was pretty intense, and I love it. I'm so glad that she is finally meeting the red mother officially and not just their accomplice. I can't wait to see how all this ends.
