I really loved being back at Juniper Inn with the Buchanan sisters.
We get some sweet and funny scenes between Rose and Colt.
Sweet and angsty for Dahlia and Ike.
And Sassy and Lillian both get love interests.

Rose has been working on updating the Inn and hoping to get most of it done before her Aunt Sassy returns from her road trip with Colt. Who she's very much like to see after his time away with Sassy.

Dahlia and her kids have finally made the move to Colorado. She can't wait to see Ike and spend time with him. But she's also nervous.

The sisters are determined to get their mother to reconcile with her sister Sassy. All those plans are thrown off when Sassy returns early and they try to keep their mother from finding out and leaving town.

The Summer Sisters follows the Buchanan sisters as they fix up the Juniper Inn that they inherited from this Aunt Sassy. The story is told from three perspectives: sisters Rose and Dahlia, and their aunt Sassy. I read The Summer Sisters largely as an audiobook and each of the perspectives is told by a different narrator, which I thought really worked for the story! I loved getting to know each of the women and their individual struggles and triumphs. I highly recommend The Summer Sisters for fans of women’s fiction, especially family dramas!

Having recently read Home for the Holidays, I was delighted to return and tie up what felt like lingering loose ends with this sister trio: Magnolia, Rose, and Dahlia.
In the first book, I didn't connect much with Rose. But that completely changed this time around. All three sisters plus their mother and aunt gave me all the feels.
Sara's ability to weave multiple POVs and have me invested in each subplot is bar none. I usually want more of one over the other and I'm happy to say that wasn't the case this time around. It also really made me want to do some reno projects!

I adored Home for the Holidays and really enjoyed the continuation of these sisters story in The Summer Sisters.⁣

Sassy has always been a spit fire with a heart of gold and I loved this watching her continue to blossom and be so filled with love.⁣

I also loved watching Dahlia and Rose grow as women even more so in this book and was so happy that they were trying to find love again after calling off an engagement and a divorce. These sisters have the greatest bond. It made me wish I grew up with a sister.⁣

So many wonderful life lessons in this story of family, trust, the importance of communication and most of all love, in so many beautiful ways.⁣

Thank you @readforeverpub for an ARC for my honest review.⁣

The Summer Sisters is the second book in the contemporary romance Juniper Springs series. I received this book from #Forever as part of their influencer program, so I listened to an audio of Home For The Holidays because I prefer to read the series in order. I liked that the author stuck with the same characters between the two books, with the exception of Sassy swapped out for Magnolia. I liked Magnolia in the first book, but it was fun to learn more about Sassy too.

I'd recommend reading the series in order, but one could probably follow along just fine if they started with The Summer Sisters.

If you like cute, summery, small-town romances, this book is for you. I loved watching each of the characters spread their wings after some big life changes, and I really liked how we got to watch four romances blossom over this short summer. If you haven't read any books from the Juniper Springs series yet, I highly suggest you pick them up!

This is part two in a series and I didn't know about or read book one. The first book took place during Christmas and I wasn't in the mood to read it seeing as we're at the start of summer here in Canada so book two seems so much more relatable right now.

This book was as fluffy as a bag of cotton candy and sometimes I love that...this was good break from my thrillers and I loved the family dramas. There was even a bit of romance and throw in an old gal's wisdom and you have a pleasant story to while away a few hours.

Dahlia, Magnolia and Rose are the Buchanan sisters and have recently inherited the Juniper Inn in Colorado. Dahlia and Rose have moved permanently to Juniper Springs and renovated the Inn during the spring.  Now set to re-open, a big celebration is planned.  Magnolia has recently delivered baby Luca and arrives just in time for the reopening and Sassy’s surprise birthday celebration.

Sassy has returned home early from an extended trip abroad after experiencing headaches and dizziness for the past several weeks.  With a family history of a brain tumour, she fears the worst. She decides to seek medical attention and determine a diagnosis before she needlessly worries the family.

Sassy’s older sister Lillian is mother to the Buchanan sisters.  A major disagreement has had these two women estranged for the past two decades.  When Lillian suddenly appears before the re-opening, the sisters decide a reconciliation of their mother and their aunt is long overdue.

Romance is abound in Juniper Springs and both the older generation and younger generation of sisters find love. But with any romance, it’s not always free of complications.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book.  Told from the perspectives of Rose, Dahlia and Sassy, there was plenty of storylines to keep me engaged.  The book flowed effortlessly with relatable, likeable characters.  The descriptions of the Inn and the property on which it stands set the scene for the tranquil read I was hoping for.

While some of the romances were carried on from the first book in the series, I was especially taken by the new love found by the older sisters.  Love and romance books that represent this age group are challenging to find, and I commend the author for this narrative. Moreover, it is such a pleasure to read a book with characters that respect as well as provide care and compassion to one another.  This truly reflects what a family is to me.  I look forward to reading about the Buchanan family in Book 3 of the series.

The Buchanan sisters are back! The Jupiter Inn is about to re-open and life is moving fast. Rose is running the inn and determined to make it better than ever and bring new life into the now desolate inn. Dahlia and her kids have also moved back to town, a fresh start after Dahlia's divorce. Maggie is loving life as a new mom, despite being far away from her sisters and the inn. Aunt Sassy and Lillian are still at odds after a decades-long feud and as the opening of the inn draws near, the feud comes to a breaking point.

This is the 2nd book in a series and I have not read the first but I had no problem at all diving in and enjoying this great read!

A very well-written story, in third person with alternating narration. Easy to follow the story. The pacing of the story was perfect, it kept my attention and flowed smoothly. The characters are so vivid and I really didn't want this story to end. Sara Richardson is a new to me author, but I will be searching for more great reads from her!

I recommend this book, a great vacation read!
