Funny adventures, a revealling Serena and a kind of happy ending. The only thing I don't like about this book is Serena. Don't get me wrong: it's just that she decides to confess her huge love when someone else -her so called best friend- has it. I don't think it's fair.

This book started out promising (or at least, as promising as any of the books in this series) but it didn't quite finish all the sub-plot lines. Not a huge deal, but usually the author wraps everything up nicely by the end of each book/episode.

Se um livro não consegue me conquistar com referências literárias, pugs saltitantes e filmes conceituais, eu não posso esperar mais nada dessa série.

ainda assim: 2 to go.

I THINK IT WAS GOOD. iTS SUMMER AND NATE, VANESSA BLAIR, SERENA, AND DAN ARE HAVING SOME FUN! TOO MUCH FUN I SHOULD SAY!
ALMOST EVERYBODY ARE IN THE HAMPTONS – Blair and Serena as fashion muses, Nate IS BEING blackmailed , Chuck as a man of leisure, Vanessa as a NANNY FOR TWO KIDS, AND Dan is back in the city WORKING WITH Greg

I don’t know what to expect from these anymore.
If we could stop getting reminders about Dan’s poem in the Times, that would be so appreciated.

If I was trapped in a library and had to burn books for warmth, I'd run straight for this series

First read of 2020 all complete!

Full review with spoilers here

In this book, we continue summering with our favourite Upper East Siders but they have all gone off the to Hamptons, well apart from Dan who is discovering more about himself than ever before, then we have Vanessa who ends up in the Hamptons and discovering new career options? Then moving down two are faves, Blair and Serena who decide to drag Nate along on a little adventure...guess they all have to make the summer last before going off to college.

Honestly, I felt this one was kind of lacking. Not much going on. But we are almost at the end so can't stop now.

This is my favorite book in the series. Maybe as a big Serena&Nate fan it has something to do with Serena's big love letter to Nate in the ending. But I still think this is the best book of the series in the way it's written and the story in it.

(I don't have it in me to write separate reviews for all of these--I read them all so close together that they all blur together. I enjoyed them all, obviously.)
